Torq Performance out of Miami, Florida, recently posted this video of one of their Drag Spec T-750 Camaros running its first shakedown passes. Torq’s T-750 Package basically leaves no stone unturned in the pursuit of horsepower and improved track times, and judging from their video, it delivers.
The impressive array of parts Torq adds starts with a Whipple 2.9L Supercharger force feeding 8.9 PSI of air into the LS3 from a Roto-Fab Cold Air Intake. Kooks 1-7/8” Headers with cats and a Torq custom camshaft and valvetrain upgrade round out the engine modifications. According to Torq the T-750 package makes 590 RWHP/460 TQ on a Mustang Dyno. All the power is transmitted through a full drag spec transmission and drivetrain package that includes a Circle-D custom-stall converter, and a DSS one piece aluminum driveshaft. DSS 1400 HP axles and Richmond 3.73 gears turn Bogart D10 wheels in 17×10 with Hoosier slicks on the rear. 17×5’s on the front with Mickey Thompsons tires help keep the Camaro aimed in the right direction.
A Torq drag spec suspension package gets all that massive horsepower to the ground thanks to a full lineup of Pfadt suspension components; including their Drag Spec adjustable coil-overs, Sport sway bars with adjustable end-links, solid differential bushings, solid sub-frame bushings, adjustable rear tie-rod, and adjustable trailing arms.
Pfadt’s suspension hooks those wide Hoosiers right up with no drama, and helps propel this particular T-750 Camaro to an 11.066 at 124.83 MPH. A little more fine tuning and who knows what kind of time this 5th Gen will eventually lay down.
