D3’s Insane 900+ Horsepower Widebody CTS-V Coupe

Cadillac’s CTS-V Coupe has always had an undeniably fierce look to it – the low-sweeping lines of the front end that flow to the high trunk line of the rear make us swoon during every encounter with one, even our own project.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the crew over at D3 Group whip up a gnarly, widebody CTS-V Coupe and it’s definitely not the last time. The D3 Group is a GM officially licensed tuning partner for Cadillac automobiles, so don’t be surprised to see their name on the street and racetrack alike.

This particular CTS-V was built for BTX Global Logistics, a 33 year-old full-service transportation and logistics company based out of Connecticut. Taking the already bold body lines of the CTS-V Coupe, D3 took the wheel arches and flared them just enough to fit massive CEC c885 wheels, measuring 21 x 10.5 up front and 21 x 14 out back, with no problem. Other aesthetic touches include the huge, statement-making APR GT500, adjustable competition front splitter, double-sided carbon fiber ventilated hood, side skirts, and rear diffuser also in carbon fiber. To top off the appearance, D3 added their Noir Black Package which consists of a blacked-out grille, window trims, side vents, and a rear trunk piece.

A sinister build like this wouldn’t be complete with out performance numbers to match, so D3 dove into their parts bin and pulled out some goodies to add another 340+ horsepower to the factory-supercharged LSA powerplant.

Power upgrades include a stage 2 intake, upper and lower pulleys, supercharger lid spacer, D3 heat exchanger, some high-horsepower-capable heads, and a cam. Stainless Works supplied the headers and x-pipe, MSD wires were installed along with NGK plugs, a methanol injection system was wired in, and D3’s E85/91 octane dual-map tune brings it all into fruition.

With over 900+ horsepower available at the press of the skinny pedal, BTX Logistics’ D3-built CTS-V is a true neck breaker and game changer and we can’t wait for their next beast.
