Based on our past history, you might have clicked here expecting us to bag on this Camaro. It’s certainly not the kind of thing we typically prefer, but then again, not everybody has to like the same things we like. We thought that for once, we would concentrate on what brings us together, rather than what pushes us apart – a shared love of cars.
In that spirit, here are the top ten things we like about this Chicago Donk:
10: 305/25R32 tires don’t hold much air, making nitrogen fills cheaper
9: In-car entertainment to keep elbows from getting bored
8: High ground clearance means no cracked ZL1 air dam from hitting semi-truck tread chunks on the tollway
7: Semi-truck tread chunks on the tollway can be glued directly to the rims for free tire changes
6: Door sills at knee height = Doors never blocked by slush piled up on the curb by the snow plow
5: Molly!
4: Custom quilted upholstery is like wearing your favorite barn coat year round; also protects full length mirrors and framed art when helping friends move
3: Vinyl graphics keep bystanders from mistaking awesome 32-inch floaters for crappy 30-inch ones
2: Environmentally friendly ride height gives squirrels, feral cats, opossums, armadillos, and other low-slung potential road kill a fighting chance to escape contact
1: No more Jiffy Lube trips – just slide a 5 gallon bucket under the sump, pull up a beach chair, and enjoy the shade!
