When talking about a product that we’re trying to sell, we usually claim that others should buy it because it is the “best” of something. Whether it be Foreman’s grill for hamburgers or Snap On for tools, who doesn’t want to own the world’s “biggest” or “best?”
When you claim the pickup that you drive to be the “fastest,” then you’re getting into touchy territory. The owner of Izzy Performance and of this truck apparently does not mind, and for all we know the twin turbo pickup in our featured video just may be the world’s fastest.
With a twin turbo LS mill that sounds as hearty as it runs, the red pickup truly does run an impressive time of 9.32 at 145.02mph. While we’re not sure if this is America’s or even the world’s fastest quarter mile time for a street legal truck, it is much more substantial than a lot of the trucks that we cover that are actually streetworthy.
It’s funny to watch as the turbocharged pickup prestages against a black Jeep SRT8. Both the regular cab and the 4-door wagon SUV look out of place on the high performance tarmac, but it’s clear from the beginning that this fast pickup on 20s is here for business.
And business it does, as the huffed out pickup peels out and screams to its 9 second pass. It’s awe inspiring to watch such a door slammer turn heads while pulling up such devastating track times. Either way, we’ll let the video do most of the explaining…
You’ve heard of locking up your daughter; in this instance we would strongly recommend locking up your Syclone instead!
