Throughout the history of American cinema, the car chase has played a major role in many motion pictures. There is something romantic and adventurous about car chases, and we are always on the lookout for a new movie with some high octane and high speed action.

The latest summer flick to catch our interest is “Hit & Run”, a movie about a man trying to outrun his past, literally.

Written by, and starring Dax Shepard, the movie follows a former bank robber who entered the witness protection program. But his former fellow bank robbers have found him, and are looking for the cash he kept from the heist. It has all the trappings of a light-hearted action movie.

But the real reason we’re talking about this is that the two-minute trailer showcases a bunch of cool different cars. The main character drives a muscled-out ‘67 Lincoln Continental, and other vehicles like a 700-horsepower sand rail, a Cadillac CTS-V wagon, and a Corvette. There looks to be lots of car chasing, gun-slinging action, and we think it might be worth checking out when it hits theaters August 24th.
