Rat Rod Camaro madness continues as Bill Rombauts and Dave Sherer make the final preparations on the now infamous 2010 Camaro. With the Hot Rod Power Tour rapidly approaching the guys took the Camaro in for a final tuning and dyno session at Vette Doctors Performance before heading out on the road. Sherer estimated that the 485 cubic inch tall deck LS3 topped with a Kenne Bell supercharger would crank out 1000 horsepower. While on the dyno at Vette Doctors Performance Rombauts’ Camaro produced 804 horsepower and 765 pound-feet of torque. It may not be 1000 to the rear tires, but 804 is impressive for a street car. Vette Doctors Performance’s YouTube channel posted a video of the dyno session for visual and auditory evidence of this bitchin Camaro.
Thanks to the 16.3 pounds of boost that the Kenne Bell supercharger produces, this car is going to be experiencing traction issues. Sherer admitted that they would not be taking slicks with them on the Power Tour, so grip will be severely lacking. Originally Sherer and Rombauts had planned to take the car out to the local drag strip to test it out, but Mother Nature interfered with those plans. Once the guys get back from the Power Tour, they plan to hit the track with Camaro, so we will have wait until then to see if the car makes it into the 10’s.
