Last year at the LA Auto Show, the world got its first glimpse at the Youabian Puma, a sideshow chimera stitched together from donor vehicles like the Volvo C70 (the windshield and retractable hardtop) and, believe it or not, the C6 Corvette Z06/427 Convertible and Camaro Z/28.

Yes, it has (mid-mounted!) LS7 power, which is why you’re seeing it on lsxmag.com, and it needs it – that’s not Peter Dinklage behind the wheel in the video, but at more than 20 feet long and six feet tall, the Puma makes its driver look out of scale with its hugeness. In the video, we see the Puma on the road, so full points for actually building something that runs and drives, but we’re going to take some credit back for using color-swapped stills to simulate other Pumas; we only see the blue car in actual video footage.

Of course, we have to tread carefully with the criticism here, as Dr. Youabian, the man behind the giant moon buggy, sent nastygrams to Jalopnik and several other news outlets who dared to pan the Puma after its premiere. So it’s probably best to note that the words here are protected expressions of opinion, rather than an attempt to defame or misrepresent facts.

The LARC-LX – A thing of beauty for the ages. And it can be yours for just $345k, which we are guessing might actually be cheaper than a Puma…

And in our opinion, this is a vehicle that reminds us of a baby LARC-LX – Youabian is missing the boat (pun intended) by not just leaning into it and making the Puma amphibious too. It’s the one thing about this bizarre vehicle that would swing the needle from madness to genius, and we won’t even charge for the suggestion.
