There is no accounting for personal taste in this country. America is all about freedom, after all, so people are given a lot of leniency when it comes to automotive modifications. There are whole subcultures dedicated to the gods of donk, where big flash rims are an absolute must. What happens when donks and muscle cars collide?
How does a 2010 Camaro fitted with 24” rims doing burnouts and powerslides in a parking lot sound? Tampa Sports Car Examiner came across a video of this ridiculous muscle donk acting out on YouTube. Good idea, or accident waiting to happen?
There’s absolutely no performance advantage in outfitting your car with such tremendous wheels, and the Camaro’s center of gravity looks a lot higher than stock. The only thing these two foot-wide wheels have going for them is that they’re not heavy chrome, but 24” painted “sports wheels.” That’s as much an oxymoron as jumbo shrimp.
However, huge rims aside, this Camaro still does some impressive burnouts. We’re pretty sure those fenders had to be modified, but it doesn’t look awful when obscured by a thick cloud of shredded rubber. We could also do without the “beats” provided by Eazy-M, and the skill of the “stunt driver” certainly is questionable. We’re shocked the Camaro didn’t flip over on its side during the parking lot hoonage. Maybe we’ve got big rims all wrong?
