Did you know that Pratt and Miller, the very same engineering firm responsible for designing and building the 24 Hours of Le Mans winning C6.R Corvette in conjunction with Corvette Racing, also does high end restorations? Well, they do – and the results are absolutely phenomenal. Check out this video from YouTube featuring one of their latest builds; the 1968 “Apollo” Camaro.

As the Apollo name implies, this Camaro was built by Pratt and Miller as a tribute to the early days of the NASA space program, and as they put it, “With a theme that would have you envision this car in the outermost regions of space just as likely as on the street.” The stark Bentley Ice white paint covers every inch of the 1st Gen’s body, and most of the trim is a simple flat black, giving a simple contrasting look that definitely reminds us of the exterior of a NASA space craft from the 1960’s. But this rocket doesn’t get its propulsion from jet fuel, but rather a custom supercharged LS9 that reportedly makes 760 horsepower and 840 pound feet of earth-shifting twist. Shifting gets handled by a Tremec T6060 transmission, while a Detroit Speed front sub-frame and a Heidts rear 4-link help the 18-inch Coys wheels and BFG tires keep this land rocket firmly planted to the asphalt.
