Hennessey Performance Engineering’s Venom GT supercar will be unveiled at next week’s 2010 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The unveiling will take place at 11:15 AM on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at the Mobil 1 Display – Booth No. 24243 – which is Next to the GM Stand.
The 1200 hp, aluminum V8 engine in the Venom GT propels the car from 0-60 mpg in just 2.5 seconds and hits 200 mph in 15.9 seconds. Quarter mile performance is listed as 9.9 sec. @ 162 mph and a top speed of 267 mph is claimed for the car. The 6.2-liter engine is equipped with twin Garrett ball bearing turbochargers to reach these stellar numbers. The car’s dry weight of 2524 lbs contributes significantly to performance.
With carbon fiber body panels, Brembo 6-Piston calipers and 15-inch carbon ceramic brake discs on all four corners, and KW Variant 3 adjustable coil over suspension, the Venom GT carries all the street cred needed for supercar status. There is little doubt that the aisles around the Mobil 1 booth are going to be crowded for a long time.
