Scat Crankshafts Releases 2015 Catalog Full Of Common And Rare Apps

Tom Lieb and the guys over at Scat Crankshafts are well-known in the engine-building industry for crafting crankshafts and rotating assembly parts designed to be used in engines from mild stock rebuilds to all-out competition pieces designed to dominate on the dragstrip or road course.

scat1The company recently released their all-new, updated 2015 catalog (the 34th edition) that’s stuffed full of crankshafts, connecting rods, and rotating assemblies that are designed for all sorts of engines. Chances are good that if you’re working with an internal combustion engine that was ever produced by one of the world’s major vehicle manufacturers, Scat has built a crankshaft or other parts for it at some point over the company’s 50-year history.

A quick run through the catalog finds everything from stock-replacement to billet crankshafts, forged chromoly steel connecting rods for most popular applications, and those rotating assemblies mentioned earlier complete with pistons and piston rings are available unbalanced, or with internal or external balancing to simplify the process for the end user. Chevy, Chrysler, Ford, even parts for now-defunct Buick and AMC, along with import applications like Honda, Nissan, and Subaru can be found in the 78-page catalog.

If you’re looking to start on your next engine build, you can find more information on the complete line of products manufactured by Scat by checking out their website.

SCAT's standard stroke and stroker Model A/Model T cranks are counterweighted, made from 4340 steel forgings and are available with or without hold holes. All machining is done in SCAT's Redondo Beach manufacturing and distribution facility. SCAT is proud to support keeping the 300,000 Model A/Model T engines running.

Here’s one of the less-common crankshafts you’ll find in the Scat catalog – their standard stroke and stroker Model A/Model T cranks. These are counterweighted, made from 4340 steel forgings and are available with or without hold holes. All machining is done in SCAT’s Redondo Beach manufacturing and distribution facility.
