Quarter-Max Chassis & Racing Components, a division of RJ Race Cars Inc., have released the first photos of their brand new 2011 Camaro body. The body is designed to be utilized in almost any door car class that allows full fiberglass bodies and will fit a wheel base from 105 to 115 inches. The body will be offered in three materials, Lightweight Fiberglass, Carbon Fiber, or ultra lite weight Carbon Fiber.
Rick Jones consulted with the expert staff from Five Star RaceCar Bodies. Rick Jones knew what he wanted entering the building process of the Camaro, “We wanted to keep the stock appearance of the 2011 Camaro as much as possible while allowing for the modifications that are necessary for it to accommodate racing attire.” By the first look at the body it appears that Jones and the whole team of designers for the body has done a great job of accomplishing just that.
RJ Race Cars is going to continue work on this body, as they intend on building one as their team car for competition in the ADRL Pro Nitrous category with Rickie Jones taking care of the driving duties. Carl Schultz, owner of Five Star Race Car Bodies, knew the importance and difficulty in building a new body, “We have been building Pro Stock bodies for the past 12 years and understand what it takes to build a lightweight, aerodynamic and strong body with a quality fit and finish.”
Teams will be able to buy the Camaro body alone, or be able to buy a body and chassis through RJ Race Cars. RJ Race Cars have already sold several of these bodies and we will be there when Camaro makes its ADRL Pro Nitrous debut and we will be there to provide photo and results coverage when it happens.
