As gearheads, we’re naturally drawn to car videos. And with the advent of the internet and web video portals that are essentially the YouTube for cars, hopping online and viewing some incredible creations or footage that you’d be unlikely to ever see on television is at our fingertips more than ever.

But even better than kicking back on your lunch break and watching said videos is actually producing them, because it’s these folks that are experiencing the exhilaration of performing mosquito-killing burnouts, making eye-opening dyno runs, and jamming the gears down the quarter mile. Well, what if one could get paid to do such things? Hit record on the camera and put the pedal through the radiator? Through a contest hosted by our good friends at ProCharger, you can in fact get paid to have fun on camera.

ProCharger has launched the second rendition of their popular Video Challenge, which awards a $5,000 grand prize to individuals who show their passion for ProCharger through the video medium with fun and creative videos portraying their cars and how they use their ProCharger supercharger systems. Submissions for the contest end on July 31 2011, and the winner and top five finishers will be announced on September 7.

The first ProCharger Video Challenge drew an amazing and fun mix of videos from all over the United States. For 2011, the total purse has been increased to $8,000. Check out these payouts!

Get creative… have fun… be safe! Show us what you do with your ProCharger power. Tell us why you want or need a ProCharger. Share your story of why you purchased a ProCharger. Show us you friends’ reaction when you roll up with ProCharger power. Show us how would you talk your “significant other” or friend into buying a ProCharger for their vehicle. These are just a few ideas…but above all, have fun and be safe in creating your videos.

Videos submissions will be taken between March 15 and July 31, 2011, giving you several months to shoot, edit and submit your videos. A panel of esteemed judges will select the Top 10 videos that will move into the Finals. From there, the internet public casts votes for their favorite videos with the winners being announced on September 7, 2011.
