You’ve got an older GM muscle in the garage, and you’ve decided it’s time to step up to modern performance. You have your eye on a sweet LS engine and T56 manual transmission, but don’t want the hassle of sourcing the parts to make the swap work from multiple companies, with a “who knows” fitment once the parts show up at your front door. It’s time to check out the new LS and T56 swap kits from the guys at Speedtech Performance – they’re designed to take the guesswork out of the swap.
Official Release:
We’re excited to announce two new packages that will make life a whole lot simpler- introducing the Speedtech Performance LS engine and T56 transmission swap kits for GM Muscle Cars! Our Speedtech swap packages are put together with made-in-the-USA parts that we manufacture out of the highest quality materials and processes. They are designed exclusively for each application with the intentions of fantastic fit and functionality. These kits are available for ’64-72 Chevelles and A bodies, ’67-69 Camaros and Firebirds, and ’68-74 Novas and X bodies. 70-81 Camaro and Firebird kits will be available in early August.
Based around our ATS hand fabricated and baffled road race oil pan along with our Stainless Steel headers, our LS engine swap kit brackets get your motor located properly in the frame without the oil pan or header clearance issues typical of other brand parts. They even provide plenty of clearance with the Tru-Turn steering system.
Our T56 6-speed swap kits get the transmission/ pinion angle located properly and features our easy to remove adjustable cross member. To avoid hacking up your floor pan we include our transmission tunnel cover, and the correct bracketry and hydraulics for your clutch are all part of the deal. Both of these exciting new kits were designed to make your shopping and installation as easy as possible.
