LG Motorsports Releases The ZR28 Hood In Fiberglass

For fifth-generation Camaro owners looking to shave a few pounds off of their Chevrolet pony car, comes LG Motorsports new ZR28 hood. You may remember earlier in the year when we discussed the release of the ZR28 hood in carbon fiber, but now LG has manufactured that same hood in fiberglass with a carbon glass top finish panel for less cost to consumers. If you want to learn more, read the official press release below.

Official Release:

LG Motorsports announces “ZR28 Street Series” Carbon Fiber Camaro Hood!

Earlier this summer we showed you our World Challenge Approved, full carbon ZR28 hood, for the 5th Gen Camaro’s.

Now you can have the same hood at a lower cost in the same carbon fiber with some fiberglass used in the inner structure to reduce the cost greatly. Ready to paint or leave the perfect exposed carbon Fiber surface exposed.

This lower cost version is just what Camaro owners have been asking for!

Now you have three versions of the ZR28 Carbon hood to choose from depending on your needs!

  1. Full race ZR28 World Challenge carbon Fiber hood
  2. Full carbon Fiber Light weight OEM style street hood
  3. ZR28 Street Series Carbon Fiber Camaro Hood.

Our full race carbon hood is the lightest of the group but is not finished on the underside and does require hood pins for attachment.

Our full carbon street hood is a super lightweight replacement with all OEM attachments. It bolts directly on your Camaro for a full street replacement.

Lastly, our ZR28 Street Series carbon Fiber Camaro hood, our lower cost carbon hood.

Just as we did with our “Street Series” Headers, we built this hood with lower cost as the goal.

This is accomplished without sacrificing looks or quality.

The savings came by using lower cost materials for the inner structure

The full carbon weave makes for an impressive show statement!

Like our full carbon hood it retains all OEM hardware for attachment!

Talk to your sales person today about availability!

Features:

  • Lightweight
  • Affordable compared to full carbon version
  • Bolt-on installation – retains all OEM hardware for attachment
