You can do all kinds of things to beef up the engine in your modern Camaro or Mustang, but without a performance suspension, you won’t be able to get the most out of your engine modifications. Now thanks to the new performance control arms from Lakewood Industries, you can get better handling, control and grip in the corners and on hard launches, making your car perform better all around.
Lakewood Industries Releases Performance Control Arms
CLEVELAND – Lakewood Industries, a Prestolite Performance brand that specializes in bellhousings, suspension products and chassis components, recently launched new performance control arms for late model Ford Mustangs and Chevrolet Camaros.
Compatible with 2005-2011 Mustangs and 2010-2011 Camaros, these performance control/trailing arms are up to three times stronger than factory parts. The heavy-duty tubing and bushings used on these control/trailing arms will not bend and deflect during hard launching or cornering. Lakewood uses thick wall tubing to prevent bending versus the thin stamped-steel factory arms.
The polyurethane bushings are an upgrade from the factory soft rubber bushings, enabling body-roll and sway. Lakewood’s rear control arms utilize torque from the axle-rotation to lift up against the chassis, transferring the force directly downward into the pavement, forcing a driver’s rear tires to plant and hook. This instantly eliminates wheel hop.
All Lakewood control/trailing arms are engineered as direct bolt-on factory replacements and install quickly and easily.
Estimated retail for the product is $140 to $170 and can be found at Lakewood’s premier dealer locations, which can be found at www.lakewood-industries.com/FindADealer.aspx.
