With the recent announcement of the ZL1 Camaro, many have been frothing at the mouth for more details, option information, and photos of the newest Camaro variant to roll off the GM assembly line. Camaro5Fest II offered GM an ideal opportunity to debut the 45th anniversary Camaro and allow the public to see the elusive ZL1 model outside of an auto show. Camaro5 was able to obtain pictures of the first non-red ZL1 Camaros at Camaro Superfest in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The Superfest, held at Riverside Park, allowed attendees to see the new model in a different hue along with debuting the first one equipped with the optional automatic transmission.
On the Camaro5Fest forums more pictures are available of ZL1’s. A Summit White-hued ZL1 sported the optional automatic gearbox and judging by the photos, this machine definitely attracted plenty of attention from the crowd. Not to say the eye-catching yellow and black ZL1 equipped with a manual tranny was ignored, but something new almost always commands attention from the public. Forum members seemed to respond to new ride with positive responses and praised the addition of the sunroof. Black accents helped draw attention to the CTS-V inspired hood design and the large wheels wrapped in low-profile rubber on the Summit White car; like the white car the yellow ZL1 was treated to black accenting with a striking set of stripes and black wheels.
