Customers of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE) will be looking forward to July 17, when several dozen will get together at Muncie Dragway, in Albany, Indiana. LPE offers a wide variety of performance oriented products and services for a broad range of GM and Dodge cars, including Corvette, Camaro, CTS-V, Charger, Challenger and Viper.
The event is hosted by LPE and gives customers an opportunity to run their cars at the track and meet other LPE customers. Last year, 40 vehicles registered to participate and the track hosted the many enthusiasts who attended to watch the action.
At last year’s event, the Lingenfelter LS9-powered 2010 Camaro SS made its first 9 second quarter-mile pass. The car has subsequently been modified with a new RPM built faceplate transmission and LPE torque cut module. Dyno testing has verified operation of the module, completing a WOT 3-4 shift with both stages of nitrous.
You can certainly expect to see this Camaro return to the track to set some new results. Who knows? It is likely that the folks at LPE have some new tricks up their sleeves, as well as new products to show off. It certainly won’t be a boring day for anyone.
The New Muncie Dragway is located on State Road 28-67, approximately 70 miles northeast of Indianapolis.
