While the prospect of a fifth-generation Pontiac Trans Am died when the arrowhead-badged company went under in 2010, many aftermarket companies have put their heads together and come up with a variety of “Firebirdized” fifth-generation Camaros to make up for the otherwise loss of a classic. While these vehicles are rarely seen on the street, the ability to purchase one is there, especially with one such model hitting the auction block tonight at the Houston Mecum Auction.
Set to be sold tonight at 6:15 p.m. is a 2010 Camaro SS coupe that has been transformed into a Lingenfelter TA.
Equipped with all the bells and whistles, this Lingenfelter TA features a Lingenfelter-massaged 455ci LS engine good for 600+ horsepower, a six-speed manual transmission and a full Corsa exhaust. Giving the car it’s unique Trans Am appearance is the LTA Screaming Eagle package, which includes a custom front fascia with split grille, true Shaker hood, side scoops and custom Lingenfelter Honeycomb wheels. The car also features the custom LTA taillights, 3-piece rear spoiler, fender vents and front spoiler.
Topping off the car’s unique custom body panels is a full Wanda Fire Orange Pearl paint scheme with Wanda Mocha Pearl accents and the all-telling LTA hood graphic.
Inside, the car features a black interior with custom retro vinyl inserts throughout. You’ll also find a number of Trans Am-esque finishing touches.
With a clean Autocheck report, the Lingenfelter TA hits the auction block at 6:15 p.m. Central time. Be sure to get your bidder registration done now if you’re interested as you only have a short time left until this unique “Trans Am” is up for grabs!
