OK Chevrolet, you’re really starting to get these Camaro advertisements right. We were thinking that Dodge was the only one who knew how to advertise their Challenger and Charger. But as Super Bowl XXXXV nears, we’re really starting to like what we coming out of the General lately. The latest, titled, “Ms. Evelyn,” is a fun spit-balling mishmash of ideas being battered around by two “dudes” brainstorming what a “cool Camaro commercial should be.”
We’re really enjoying today’s OEMs finally smacking their marketing departments upside the head and shirking off the “lets try to get people who normally would never buy this car to consider it” ads. Listen, quit trying to sell moms 5.0 GT Mustangs, teenagers Corvettes and retired accountants SRT8 Chargers. The people who buy these cars (nine-times-out-of-ten) are guys. Why not make ads that appeal to guys?
Thank you, common sense.
