While High Tech Corvette [1] might not have invented the “put a girl and a GoPro in a fast car” video genre, they’re definitely working on perfecting it, and today we bring you the latest effort in pursuit of that goal. In this case, we have a young woman, who we will diplomatically describe as being “dressed for summer,” enjoying a ride in a 5th Gen Camaro that is said to generate 1,200 horsepower and run low nines in the quarter mile.

[3]After several careful viewings, we can confirm that the car does indeed seem healthy, and that the rollbar in back would point to some drag strip cred. But we do have some concerns – it’s probably not good to have them bouncing around unsecured like that.
And by “them” we mean the two nitrous bottles that can be seen (and heard) clanking back and forth in the back seat. In even a minor fender-bender, those are gonna hurt, and heaven help the driver and his buxom passenger should a bottle lose a valve in a crash. The potential energy stored in a nitrous oxide tank demands respect – handled properly, it’s safe to use and transport, but negligence can lead to disaster.
So, to the fine folks at HTC, we would just like to say that we love your videos (and the traffic they generate) and want more of them, but please, practice safe GoProing and keep the bottles strapped down, even if you’re not going to strap down anything else…
