Holley’s LS Powered ’67 Shop Truck

Holley's LS Powered '67 Chevy C10 Shop Truck

Holley has been making high performance products for eons in seems. We’ve all had our hands on a Holley carburetor at one point or another, but like any good company they know that if they’re not growing they’re dying. Holly came out with a new plug-and-play fuel injection system called the Avenger EFI and decided to show case it in the best way they knew how; by building a shop truck around it! Actually, the truck would showcase many of their part offerings and would use the ever popular LS Motor as the mill of choice.

They started out with an already nice C10 and sent it to SoCal Speed Shop where the transformation from “nice and stock” would begin. They theme of the truck would be to keep it looking as stock as possible, but with tasteful modernizations to make it fast and enjoyable without losing the feel of a vintage Chevy truck.

A new LS3 was dropped in with a TKO-600 5 speed, but instead of using the factory fuel injection setup they chose to use a carburetor manifold (available from GM Performance Parts) topped off with the new self tuning plug-and-play Avenger EFI.

It would take a number of Holley items to make the swap work including new engine mounts and a rear sump oil pan for the LS. The motor was topped off with a set of coil covers made to look like vintage big block Chevy valve covers!

To keep up with the motor the suspension received upgrades as well using Classic Performance Products components. A custom set of 20-inch vintage style wheels were created as well that set off the right stance and keep the truck handling as nice as it looks. The build was finished off with a beautiful factory style interior and an old-style Holley logo painted on the door. The only questions that remains for it is; is it too nice to use to haul parts? We say, “No way!”

Is that a big block Chevy....or an LS?
