We have got to admit that we are a bit envious of Bill Goldberg. The man has down it all; professional football, professional wrestling, movies, TV, married a professional stuntwoman, made millions of dollars, and owns close to 30 vintage muscle cars. He even hosted the short-lived reality/action/car TV show, Bullrun. But more recently he also hosted last year’s Optima Street Car Challenge Invitational, and that’s when he claims he had finally got bit by the pro-touring bug.
Being a huge Trans Am fanatic, while owning several already, Goldberg has recently commissioned a number of different sources in order to put together his idea of the ultimate pro-touring T/A. In this instance, it’s a legit (but non-matching numbers) 1970 model that has been nicknamed, “Demented,” aka, “ERNEE” (according to the guys over at ridelust.com) and Goldberg had it sitting around since he was in the middle of filming The Longest Yard with Adam Sandler and Burt Reynolds, ironically enough.
Now while the car’s build is only in its infancy, there currently aren’t any other pictures to share with you at this time apart from the above rendering. However, there is a few details we’re positive of, such as it will be powered by a Hendrick Motorsports LS motor, handle the curves with a DSE suspension, roll on Forgeline wheels wrapped in BFG rubber, stop with a set of Baer brakes, and keep its cool with a Be Cool cooling system. As we follow along with the build and more information and pictures become available, we’ll be sure to share them with you!
