eBay is full of project cars waiting for a new home and a new owner to love them. Occasionally you run across a diamond in the rough; it may need a little TLC to make it perfect, but when you find a classic muscle car with an LS3 engine swap, you might find yourself getting a little misty eyed.
With tax refunds headed for our bank accounts, we are faced with the decision to be responsible with our money, or use it as a down payment on something like this ’66 Oldsmobile Jetstar 88 Holiday Coupe. In the ad verbiage, it mentions that these cars are fairly rare, with approximately one hundred left in existence. Thanks to the Tremec TKO-600, this car should be a fun street/strip ride.
According to the seller, the vast majority of the mechanical and paint/body work were completed within the past two years. With a relatively fresh engine and paint job, this car has great potential for someone who does not want to tackle a junkyard basket case project. Finding a car with potential that may just need a few tweaks for it to be perfect in your eyes is always good option, but when there is an LS3 involved it becomes a great option.
