Forgeline ’68 Evade Camaro

As if it wasn’t obvious, we just can’t get enough of Forgeline here at ChevyHardcore. We’ve found an extremely sexy 1968 Camaro, named “Evade,” sporting some staggered Forgeline VR3P wheels and just had to share it.

Bill Panouses, out of Florida, owns this slick beast, which he’s always known that he’d eventually own, that was built by Tom Argue Design in St Petersburg, FL and has a collection of sponsors that have their hand in on Evade. “I remember feeling my heart pump wildly as he hammered through the gears. It was the ride of my life! From that day on, I knew there would be a time when I would own a ’68 Camaro,” said Panouses about his first ride in a ’68 as a 17 year old on his website.

It appears to be a really clean old muscle car – but don’t be fooled, this car has quite a few awards under it’s bumper. At the 19th Annual Winter Nationals, Evade won not only one or two awards, but five. Evade sits low and mean in it’s PPG Black paint with carbon fiber accents throughout with an LS2 squeezed inside it’s walls, pushing out 440 ponies. Those ponies divert power to the back tires through a Tremec T-56 Magnum after the gears are shifted through the new Centerforce Dyad Twin Disc Clutch.

As with every Forgeline sponsored ride, Evade has some sexy wheels. It sits on staggered Forgeline VR3P wheels: 18×8.5-inch in the front with 19×10-inch hoops in the rear, wrapped snug in big Michelin Pilot Sport 2’s. The VR3P’s are brightly polished with a unique, custom center. The center’s are powdercoated in gunmetal then treated with Tom Argue’s Hydro Illusions printing process to make them appear as if they are carbon fiber … just like Evade’s body accents.

We’re sure this won’t be the last of the Evade Camaro we see but in case you haven’t seen enough just yet, you can “Like” it’s very own Facebook page to see the fully gallery of everything Evade!
