There are cool cars, and then there are perfect cars, and we think that this ’66 Nova on eBay may just be a great example of a perfect build project. To begin with, the stance, color, body mods and the like are all done in a way that we can only describe as tasteful. As we reviewed all of the pictures on the eBay listing through our mouths dropped at the level of fabrication that has been undertaken.
The floors, firewall, wheel tubs, engine bay, and probably even the entire chassis has all been scratch built. It’s likely that the only GM sheetmetal in the whole thing is the roof skin, but it’s been done so well that you’d never know until you started to poke around a bit!
The drivetrain has everything you’d expect in a pro-touring ride of this caliber. Upfront is a 523 horsepower LS2 adorned with a Billet Specialties full alternator and pulley set. The LS is then backed up by a Tremec T56 6-speed and a 9-inch rear end.
The front suspension consists of a Corvette setup with QA1 adjustable shocks, and the rear is an Art Morrison 4-link.
It wears big Wilwood brakes on all four corners which are accented by massive 19 inch Intro wheels up front and 20’s out back! The interior is just as nice as the outside and has full heat and A/C as well as a sweet Alpine stereo and navigation system.
Like we said, it could be the perfect car. It’s not cheap, but it shouldn’t be. We can dream, can’t we?
