Craigslist Find: One Extremely Low Goat

Our friend Brandon Sakai is getting rid of his 2005 Pontiac GTO 6.0 and moving on to his next project. While a lot of you might not be into really low cars, we have a special place in our hearts for them – there’s just something about tucking tire and aggressive fitment that gets us fired up.

Sakai’s GTO has been through a number of different looks and multiple sets of wheels, but finally settled with the factory color on a set of full-polish Work Equip 05’s which measure 18 x 10 +19 all the way around. The car sits on BC Racing coilovers and has had every bushing replaced with Energy Suspension and Whiteline polyurethane bushings. Yes, the car is really low, but Sakai had the fenders rolled, pulled, and flared to negate any rubbing issues before entering the body shop for some fresh paint.

The LS2 under the hood has a K&N intake along with a custom catch can and PCV delete, while the exhaust consists of JBA cat-less mid pipes and a custom cutback with the use of Magnaflow mufflers. The factory interior audio has also been replaced with a Pioneer Z1 double-DIN head unit, Boston Acoustics tweeters and mids, and two Boston Acoustics SPG555 woofers in a custom fiberglass enclosure in place of the spare tire.

Currently the lowest static ride-height and widest wheel fitment on a stock-body GTO in the US, Sakai’s car is a definite neck-breaker, and we wish him the best on his next project. If you are interested in his GTO, check out the Craigslist ad for more information!
