When you have a wimpy Toyota Prius and want to up the power a tad, what do you do? Throw in an LS of course!!!
Proving yet again that an LS engine can make any car cool, we stumbled across this Prius over on Craigslist for sale by a gentleman named Jackson. However quickly after finding the ad we noticed that it was flagged for removal. The pictures did show a real Prius with an LS engine in it though, so we had to find it.
After a simple Google search, we found the car was really being built by Autofab Race Cars, with a few pictures on their Facebook. They are located in Maryland as well, the complete opposite end of the United States from where the ad stated. The car is actually owned by Rick White, who resides from Boston.
The important thing here is that there really will be a rear-wheel-drive LS powered Prius on the streets. We can’t wait to see the smokey burnouts that will ensue once Autofab gets the car finished up.
This car is sure to be a great sleeper. Nobody would expect a Prius to have any sort of real horsepower, let alone an American V8 stuffed between the fender wells. This Prius will definitely catch anybody off guard, especially when you start it up and hear that engine roar.
