Don’t be fooled! It may be April Fools, but Chevrolet is flipping the script on everyone, dealing several acts of kindness and humor on their event called The Best Day Ever.
Currently broadcasting on YouTube, Chevy’s Best Day Ever is a combination of entertainment, humor, and star power. Featuring celebrities, athletes, and YouTube stars, Chevy’s Best Day Ever is essentially a thank you from the company to the consumers who stand behind Chevrolet.
Partnered with several companies, Chevy has set out to give random acts of awesomeness to unsuspecting people. From Danica Patrick and Courtney Force handing out free gas cards and car washes at random gas stations to music entrepreneur Russell Simmons invading a classroom, Chevrolet just wants everyone to have a nice day, better yet their best day.
With YouTube celebrities such as Tyler Oakley livestreaming the broadcast for Chevy and his own channel, Chevrolet is aiming to keep you entertained during their event. Performances from Kelly Clarkson and Wale are also scheduled during Chevy’s Best Day Ever.
Not to mention, Chevrolet has also been showing short clips of new features in each of their cars. Moreover, the new Chevrolet Malibu features a mobile wifi hotspot, allowing drivers to connect up to seven devices on the single connection. On the funnier side, Chevrolet chose a random group of people to watch a video and were simply told to keep their eyes on it no matter what. What was literally a video of a car rolling down an interstate road, they stared intently.
However, as they stared, a plethora of distractions came forth. From a mechanic working on a fixture inside the room, to a group of free-running puppies, zombies, and male strippers, the group of people couldn’t resist the distractions. As a result, the proctor asked the group about cell phones while driving. As a result, the proctor unveiled the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze, which has a new feature that allows drivers to text an automated message at the touch of a button on the steering wheel. Making strides with both technology and society, Chevrolet simply wants to commemorate this day to people from all walks.
