When you see a car in this shape it is hard to imagine the amount of force required cause this amount of destruction. My Fox Houston reported the crash and destruction of 4th generation Camaro late Monday night in downtown Houston that left the Camaro driver alive, but in serious condition.
According to reports from My Fox Houston, the original accident involved the Camaro and a pickup truck. Allegedly the driver of the Camaro failed to yield at stop sign, which led the collision between the pickup truck and the Camaro. Shortly after the initial accident another pickup truck crashed into both vehicles leaving the driver of the Camaro trapped inside his vehicle.
Emergency crews were called to the scene of the accident at the intersection of Runnels Street and Chartres Street. Firefighters were eventually forced to free the Camaro driver by cutting through his car. Despite the Camaro driver’s serious injuries, both pickup drivers were uninjured during the collisions.
The image of the driver’s of the silver Camaro clearly illustrates the amount of damage caused by accident; the outside of the door is gone leaving only some of the supports and the inside door panel left. When faced with the visual repercussions of running a stop sign perhaps this Camaro owner’s misjudgment will serve as a reminder for the rest of us.
