As we all know, Camaros just weren’t meant to fly, and actually operate best with all four wheels firmly planted on the ground. Mr. Dustin Wayne See of Fort Lauderdale, Florida found this out the hard way last week when he sent his bright yellow 5th Gen V6 Camaro hurtling through the air after striking a guardrail, and eventually crashing down right into a condo building.
Mr. See was apparently on his way home at 12:19 AM, and less than a third of a mile from his house, he struck a curb and lost control of the Camaro. The car took out a guard rail, which subsequently acted as a ramp, launching the car through the air. After taking flight, the Camaro landed nearly 100 feet away and finally came to rest after hitting the wall of a condo building. The Orlando Sentinel reports that Mr. See did survive the accident, and was taken to a local hospital for his injuries. Soon after the accident they were unable to contact Mr. See for a comment, and he was no longer listed as a patient at the hospital.
The Fort Lauderdale Police Department reported that Mr. See would be cited for “failure to use due care.” Judging by the picture posted by the Orlando Sentinel, Mr. See is very lucky to be alive, so a single traffic ticket should be the least of his worries.
