Yesterday, we brought you pictures of Heide Performance Products’ SEMA-bound Trans Am concept car. The styling, especially the chromed “beak” grille surround, provoked a strong “love it or hate it” reaction in the comments, but the models standing alongside were universally popular. Today, we’ve got photos of their take on the Z/28, along with more photos of the Trans Am.Like the Trans Am, the Z/28 draws styling cues from its first-gen F-body namesake, especially in the grille and headlight treatment. The wheels recall slotted “kidney bean” steelies, and the taillight panel is very similar to that of the HPP Trans Am concept but is stylistically more successful, in our never-humble opinion.
HPP also sent us some additional pictures of the Trans Am, and we have to admit that at some angles, the pointed chrome prow is starting to grow on us.
Still no details on any performance mods, but if you are “lucky” enough to be spending next week prowling the carpeted halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center like we will, stop by HPP’s booth #24775 and check the cars out in person.
