While the Corvette always has been America’s sports car, it has to be acknowledged that the Germans have also occupied one of the seats at the automotive head table. The German tuning company, GeigerCars, decided to try their hands at manipulating a little bit of American muscle and jumped into a project with Chevrolet’s newest performer, the C7 Stingray.
According to Carbuzz, GeigerCars’ Corvette is pumping out 590 horsepower and 558 foot-pounds of torque; about 130 hp and 100 lb-ft of improvement according to the dynamometer. This added power propels the GC car to nearly 200 mph. The extra power of this LT1 is developed with an Eaton supercharger. The forced induction system is sure to make the Stingray scream on the dyno… wish we could have seen that!
It wouldn’t be a proper German tune if they had neglected the handling and aesthetics of the car either, so the Stingray received a lowered stance and improved handling characteristics thanks to a set of KW variant three-way adjustable coilovers. These allow the car to be lowered anywhere from 10-35mm (0.39-1.38 inches) in front, and 15-45mm (.59-1.77 inches) in the rear.
The new stance is finished off with a set of wheels measuring 19″ and 20″ front to back, and a complete bodykit comprised of: a raised hood, side skirts, chin spoiler, deck lid lip spoiler, rear diffuser and tailpipes.
The car is currently listed for 113,000 Euros, which at the time this was written, equates to $145,281…
The car is certainly a unique performer, but at that price point we would have to recommend you wait and purchase a 2015 Z06. According to Chevy’s reports, the Z06 should walk all over the German’s rendition and do so with a full factory warranty. And in the event 650 horsepower doesn’t satisfy you, there is budget left for added power and visual upgrades to suit your fancy.
