When this car was new, his name was Vincent Damon Furnier. Good thing he changed it to Alice Cooper, or else the car wouldn’t bring as much at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Event which starts next week. Mind you. putting in the winning bid won’t get you into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but when you drive this car, you will get that “no more Mr. Nice Guy” feeling.

This classic Camaro has been updated throughout, starting with a fuel injected LS3 Corvette crate motor, built to LS7 specs and pumping a reported 540 hp out the crank. Contemporary amenities, such as heat and air conditioning come from Vintage Air and are driven by their serpentine belt system.

Responsibility for keeping the underhood cool fell to Ron Davis, and is ably handled by his all-aluminum radiator and shrouded electric fans. Getting the heat out, along with the exhaust gasses, is handled by a set of ceramic coated headers and a 2.5-inch Flowmaster exhaust system with Series 40 mufflers.

The drivetrain has been completely updated, along with the suspension and Baer brakes are used throughout. Wheels are a staggered setup, based on 17 and 18-inch chromed Corvette Z06 Spyder wheels. Full tilt exterior finishing was based on PPG black base/clear which has been cut and buffed to a finish deeper than the Abyss.

Inside, the car’s office space has been totally updated, starting from the original houndstooth pattern fabric and a custom Covan dash filled with Autometer gauges. All trim has been replaced, both inside and out. When you get this classic Bow tie home, you’ll also find an autographed guitar from Alice Cooper in the trunk.
