Here's the only unmasked photo of the 2014 Silverado available for public viewing. It reminds us of Iron Man's arc reactor chest piece.

Fresh on the heels of Gen-V News Armageddon, comes a trickle of information about the upcoming Chevy Silverado. Although we have yet to get any technical specifics or so much as see the completed, final product we do know that we will ultimately have some form of Generation-V small block under it’s reshaped hood.

As of this writing, it’s to debut at the North American International Auto Show in January according to reports by Chevrolet’s media team. Judging by all of the spy photography, the overall shape doesn’t seem that far removed from the current model, but the design is in the details.

It is quite obvious that the front end has been under the knife, judging by the consistency of GM’s engineers utilizing the infamous black masking on the nose of every prototype we’ve seen so far. They have been unraveling a little more overtime, however. We just want to see what it looks like already!

Fortunately, Chevrolet was nice enough to give us a sneak peek, with this picture of what clearly appears to be the passenger side corner section of the grille and headlight assembly.

The grille looks bolder, brasher, while the headlight has a much more modern and elegant design to it. It’s basically like every other late-model GM vehicle’s styling that started with Cadillac. 

Not to say that we don’t like it, we totally dig it. It sort of reminds us of Iron Man’s arc reactor chest piece. But we would like a bit more at this point. January can’t come soon enough.
