When it comes to buying a new car, most people tend to compromise the vehicle they want with the vehicle they can afford. But all bets are off the table when it comes to muscle cars like the new Camaro. Many men and women have waited years to own their own, brand new Camaro, and they will not be denied, price be damned.
Still, it is always good to know how much your dream car will set you back. In the case of the Camaro ZL1 Convertible, it was recently announced that pricing will start at $60,445. Also, the Boss Mustang-fighting Camaro 1LE will set you back $37,035, which seriously undercuts its Ford competitor.
The Camaro ZL1 Convertible, which comes with a supercharged 6.2 liter V8 making 580 horsepower, is about par-for-course when it comes to supercar pricing, though the 2013 Shelby GT500 convertible still manages to undercut it by about $450 and about 70 or so horsepower.
But when it comes to the Camaro 1LE versus the Boss 302 Mustang, the price difference is substantial. The Boss 302 Mustang has an MSRP of $42,995, almost $6,000 more than the Camaro 1LE. That $6,000 can buy a whole lot of performance modifications, so we gotta give the Camaro the edge in this battle.
Consumers are ready to vote with their wallets, so who will it be? Boss vs. 1LE, GT500 vs. ZL1, which supercar will reign supreme?
