While there is much hullabaloo surrounding the leaked pictures of the Camaro accessories, the big news for prospective buys is the confirmation of an order date. On Monday, October 13th Chevrolet dealerships will start taking orders on the new Camaro. If the trend of history continues, it is unlikely that many of the Camaro SS models will ever even make it to the show room floor as collectors and Camaro enthusiasts will eagerly snatch up the first few shipments.

There has been no word on pricing and even dealerships might be left out of the loop for awhile until the General settles on a price.

In order to be competitive with its Ford and Chrysler counterparts, the Camaro V6 variant needs to be priced in $19,000 to $22,000 range. The SS model will likely be around the cost of an SRT-8 Challenger of GT500, and hopefully GM will offer another V8 (or turbocharged V6?) version with a bit more guts without the SS's likely weighty price tag.
