Hennessey Performance’s LS9-powered HPE700 Camaro is a limited edition release that pegs the 0-60 mph meter at 3.5 sec and will turn in 1320 results of 11.3 @ 126 mph all day long. All but two of the 2010 editions have now been spoken for. Dude... this is definitely not your father's 1G Camaro.

Of the HPE700 Camaro, Edmunds' Inside Line said, "It's the most obvious combination since the invention of the word ‘duh.’ Throw the supercharged, 6.2-liter LS9 V8 from the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 into the nose of a 2010 Camaro. Anyone with the automotive knowledge of a beagle's butt has had this idea ricocheting through his mind since the debut of the ZR1 and the new Camaro. But it's John Hennessey and his crew at Hennessey Performance Engineering in Houston who did it first."
Limited to a total of two dozen examples for the 2010 model year, all but two have been sold. The current example belongs to a Hennessey client in northern Texas. This Rally Yellow version is surely going to remind many of the long popular folk song, "Yellow Rose of Texas", which is considered an unofficial state song of Texas. This may be no accident.
Starting with a base 2010 Camaro SS with 6-speed, Hennessey Performance adds an LS9 6.2L supercharged Engine with intercooler, long tube stainless steel headers, an HPE Extreme Duty clutch and flywheel to deliver 725 bhp @ 6,400 rpm and 741 lb-ft of torque @ 3,200 rpm. For the demonically motivated, 850 and 1000 hp Twin Turbo Upgrades are available.
Ever since some tire guy said that power is nothing without control, the mods list doesn't stop here. Chassis upgrades include KW/HPE Variant 3 adjustable coilover suspension and sway bars, Brembo 6-Piston calipers with lightweight 15-inch cross-drilled rotors up front along with 4-piston calipers grabbing 14-inch rotors out back. Rolling stock consists of 20 x 10 inch HPE lightweight alloy wheels in front and 20 x 11 inch versions in the rear. Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires lift the pony car's lateral capability just over one gee (1.01 G).
To distinguish the HPE700 Camaro from its lesser siblings, CarbonAero™ carbon body components are added, including a rear lip spoiler, rear diffuser, front splitter and side rocker panels. To minimize any possibility of confusion, the limited edition also sports Hennessey embroidered headrests and floor mats, HPE700 dash and hood plaques, as well as HPE700 and Hennessey logos painted on the rear deck lid.
To ensure the continued longevity of their customers, HPE700 buyers will also receive a 1-day performance driving course at Lonestar Motorsports Park – the 1/4 mile dragstrip facility located adjacent to Hennessey’s 30,000 square foot production facility and showroom.
