Katech recently moved into complete C6 Corvette performance upgrades, and the Street Attack Z06 is one of their most popular packages. This red Katech Street Attack Z06 belongs to Jason Harding, Katech’s Aftermarket Marketing Manager, and includes the Katech Street Attack LS7 engine. The Street Attack LS7 is specially designed for street applications, but contains many tricks learned from the Corvette Racing program.
The Street Attack LS7 starts as a factory LS7, but is updated with Katech 11:1 pistons, rebushed connecting rods, Katech Torquer LS7 camshaft, high speed lifters, high lift springs, titanium retainers, and new Clevite bearings. With the updates, the engine produces 610 horsepower (535 rwhp) and 570 ft-lbs of torque (502 rwtq). Transferring all that power through the Corvette torque tube is an
Exedy Twin disk clutch.
Engine modifications aren’t limited to the internals, as Katech updates the exterior engine with their own carbon fiber valve covers, Katech billet belt tensioner, and a coil relocation kit. The factory induction system is also replaced with a higher flowing

With the engine producing 100+ more horsepower than the factory Z06, Katech next turned to the rest of the car. The suspension features
Moton clubsport double-adjustable coilovers and
Pfadt Racing competition sway bars.
For improved braking performance, the Street Attack package has been updated with
Brembo GT brakes on the front and rear. The front Brembo system includes six piston calipers and 15” slotted two-piece rotors. The rear Brembo setup features four piston calipers and 13.6” two-piece rotors. The Brembo GT system maintains the factory ABS system, a real plus in slippery or panic stop situations.
The exterior of the Katech Street Attack Corvette features some tasteful carbon fiber parts. You first notice the natural carbon
AC Products carbon fiber hood. Not only is the hood lightweight, it also features vents to help extract heat from the engine. Other carbon fiber parts include Katech’s front splitter, side skirts and rear spoiler. Harding's Corvette also features a prototype carbon fiber rear diffuser that is similar in appearance to the one that's on the Corvette Racing ALMS GT2.
The wheels on the Katech Street Attack Corvette have been updated with forged
HRE 597 three-piece wheels (with 19-inch wheels on the front and 20-inch wheels on the rear).
The Katech Street Attack Corvette is over 100 pounds lighter than the factory Z06. The use of carbon fiber and other lightweight parts helped to get the weight off and improve overall performance. The car weighs 2995 pounds in street trim, and is well balanced with a 50/50 weight distribution.
While the car is all muscle, it gets 18-20mpg in the city and 25mpg on the highway - not bad for a Corvette that is capable of low 11 second elapsed times in the quarter mile and can top out at 205 mph.
