The first step to enhancing the durability of production LS engines is to upgrade the connecting rod bolts. They stretch over time and can lead to rod bearing failure
Why is it Cool?
The first step to enhancing the durability of production LS engines is to upgrade the connecting rod bolts. Compatible with the LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6 and LS7, Katech's new replacement (and reusable) connecting rod bolt is a simple form of insurance against failure.
Held to the highest J-rolled thread specification, the bolt offers ultra-high yield strength (240 ksi) and is produced exclusively for Katech Performance by a certified aerospace fastener manufacturer.
Technical:
The Katech Performance bolt is a direct replacement for the factory bolt in powder metal or titanium connecting rods. In LS7 blocks, no clearance machining is required, thanks to the bolt head's shorter length.
