Thanks for the Welcome..I will post a picture when I guess I get over 10 posts. I am working on a LSX 427 Iron block to go into the GTO my engine builder has the block and has ordered the Callies rotating assy. Haven't decided on the heads as of yet. I was wanting to go with the new maggie 2300 but after this engine build looks like the car will be set up for Nitrous.
Right now the car has A Performabuilt 3000 Stall/ Hardcore intake/ Dragbags/ Rear seat delete kit/ Tuned with Hp Tuners/ plx wideband/ Oil and Fuel pressure guages. Runs 12.69 at 109 right now with 1.69 60' times.

Wanting to make it a 10.5 to 11.00 car will be putting in a 6 point cage locally/ Performabuilt stage 3 Trans using my current converter once the motor is done.
If you want more specifics on the motor I will dig up my spec sheet and post more hope to have it running my mid Aug..

Once again thanks for the interest.. Mike

Wow, sounds like a bad ass engine. Why nitrous? Not that their is anything wrong with it, just curious. Sounds like 11.0s or faster will be a cinch.

Well Doing the engine and gettting the car ready to handle it so hopefully I am not fixing the car all the time really killed the budget. I was going to just supercharge my original motor, I was given a gift from my father when his dad past to build my car in some way shape or form the way I had always wanted to. I have had some pretty cool cars ( well to Me anyway) but for different reasons you know how it is they go away or you run out of money so on or so forth. Always wanted a supercharged car, but I also know over the years starting with a solid foundation is the key to enjoying what you build and not just fixing it. The motor I am building should be able to handle nitrous or a supercharger with no problem so If I need or want to go faster I can. The budget says that if I am going to add something Nitrous is what I probably can afford. I also really hate buying things twice so I am trying to just get what I need the first time with the future in mind..

The wife bought me the Gto because it was Purple and I had A 67 Firebird I dragraced that I painted Plumcrazy. It had to go for money reasons after we were together a few years and she knows I am a car guy and she wanted to make it up to me. This car is fun to drive races great pretty easy to work on and I must say I enjoy it alot.

Sorry A little long winded I guess but that is the whole story....
