GM teasing enthusiasts with Chevrolet Corvette C7 Prototypes
Even better photos of the Chevrolet Corvette C7 have hit the internet, leaked spy images that are even crisper than before. These spy images come from filming on the movie Transformers 2 which is going to come out in 2009. There has been rampant speculation circulating on exactly whether this is a concept, a prototype, or actually a mock-up of the future version of the Corvette C7.

LeftLaneNews got the scoop, and has been doing a great job staying on the story. Left Lane actually, "created an illustration of how the show car might influence the next-generation C7 Corvette. Given the concept’s massive wheels, exaggerated exterior, and extremely low roofline, there’s almost no way the production C7 Corvette will look exactly like it."

Left Lane says, and we agree, that although the C7 won't look like this, there is a reason why GM created the vehicle. Speculation is that GM will debut the vehicle at the Detroit auto show, and that it might preview the new C7 there as well which is still at least 2 years away.

Man that is the most beautiful looking Vette ever. If they don't go to production with it they would be crazy.

Common you guys, it's clearly a product of GM in-breeding isn't it?

Limited departure from the past, a synergistic mophed Cadillac XLR, CTS-V and Corvette adherance still bound to the "Platform", eh?

You could still stick to the constraints of the platform but show more imagination in exterior execution.

Not saying I don't appreciate it, even like it. I just have high expectations, like been to da Moon, how 'bout Mars?

Lee I don't really agree with you. I think this "rendition" of the C7, which is all it is really, is a great evolutionary step for the line. Of course they are going to stick to the "Platform". What did you expect?

I think one of the more interesting frontal aspects is in their application philosophy of letting more air flow through the body design, obviously spawned from studies and Le mans experience.

Keep in mind the rendering was done by Left Lane News and not GM! I totally agree with you.
