Even though Ford is the official marquee of this year’s SEMA show, make no mistake; SEMA 2009 will be all about the Camaro. In fact, GM is making sure of it by offering eight lucky tuners a chance to go at a 2010 Camaro for free. Tuners from across the country (and the world) have been submitting renderings and designs for the GM Design contest, which will award eight of the best shops with a free Camaro to tune. While the news has not been “officially” announced, the list of winners has been leaked.
You can thank
GM Tuners for getting their hands on to the list.
There are some big names in the tuning world, among them Neil Tinj and Rick Bottom. Tinj is known for some great cars, among them the Tinj Edition Cobalt and G8. Rick Bottom did up his own version of the Buck Lucerne CCX Luxury Liner at SEMA in ’06. All the way down to Formula Drift driver Conrad Grunewald. Along with the six other winners, this year’s SEMA show promises to be full of a variety of Camaros in both V6 and V8 flavors to suit everybody’s tastes.
Expect lots of boost, loud exhausts, wicked paint jobs, and custom interiors. The winners will only get two months to complete their cars, and GM has so far withheld what the winning designs look like. Here is a complete list of the winners.
