Kelly Collins and Paul Edwards dominated the GT category in their Forgeline equipped Pontiac GXP.R in the Sunrich.com Gourmet 1000 to take the win and the 2008
Grand-Am Rolex Series GT Driver, Team, and Manufacturer’s Championships.
The interesting thing to note is that overall, teams with
Forgeline wheels scored a total of 7 wins and 15 podiums to dominate the 2008 Grand-Am GT season. Leighton Reese’s Banner Racing had 4 wins to secure the championship and second place finisher Stevenson Motorsports had 3 wins. Most of the competitors in the Grand-Am GT series that run Forgelines choose their popular ZX3R competition wheel, which features 6061-T6 forged centers, spun rims shells and titanium hardware. Each wheel is optimized for weight and strength to hold up to the demands of the grueling Grand-Am schedule which includes the infamous Rolex 24 hours of Daytona. Just another example of race proven technology available on the street to help give you that same edge.
