| At 550 hp, I think that you can run either an aluminum block or the iron block they used in the movie. If you want aluminum, the LS7 crate may be a good option. I am bias to EFI, but a Carb can certainly work. I believe a well tuned MPI EFI system will get much better fuel economy than a Carb can touch. They offer intakes which will allow you to run a carb if you so choose. I would plan on paying around 15k for the engine shown in the video. I think you can get a crate LS-7 for about 13K. There are some other less exspensive crate engines like the new LS3 which makes 440 for like 7k. |
