LS1 Powered EVO - What will they think of next...
From the what will they think of next department comes this LS1 powered Mitsubishi EVO which is making it's way around the internet. It all was started when the owner posted a video of his supercharged LS1 EVO doing burnouts on YouTube. He even notes, it had no tune and the supercharger belt was disconnected.

The owner is LS1Evo, and he reports, "my first try on my LS1 EVO, not tuned and without supercharger belt with stock rear end."

We think it's bad ass, and even if it's not tuned, any LSX/LS1 conversions are a step in the right direction. Obviously all of the bugs aren't worked out, but LS1Evo has been taking a pounding on import and LS1 forums alike. It's obvious that it's a RWD conversion (removed driveshaft) and the car has some traction issues.

The word is that LS1EVo comes from Saudi Arabia - although that is unconfirmed.

Some of the specs on the car were listed on a post on Digital Corvettes:
• EVO 7 with JDM EVO 9 rear bumpers
• LS1 powerplant with a Vortech Supercharger
• Rear Wheel Drive (but plans to install an AWD system)
• Designed for Drag Racing and Drifting

We'll keep a close eye on the project and see if we can get more info. We say thumbs up LS1Evo - this is a bad ride.
