SEMA 2011: Lingenfelter Signature Series Cars and Crate Engines

For 35 years, Lingenfelter Performance Engineering has been a top name in the performance industry, and at the 2011 SEMA show, they unveiled their latest plans to take two awesome GM products- the 5th Gen Camaro and the LS series engines – and make them even better with the Lingenfelter treatment. Lingenfelter gave us an exclusive look at both new programs.

Lingenfelter unveiled their new Signature Series 5th Gen Camaros, which are available in two different trim levels. Series 1 can be had with either a V6 or a V8, and includes Lingenfelter’s Signature body kit,a performance suspension, upgraded wheels, and the option to step up to a supercharged 550 HP LS3. Series 2 comes with all the same options as series 1, but with a 600 HP LS3 standard, as well as coilovers, wider wheels and tires, and the option to get up to 800 twin-turbed horses under the hood. Mike Copeland of Lingenfelter tells us, “We make great power, and we are world famous for our durability, and the fact that you can buy a high performance package that you can drive, and enjoy, and not have to worry about.”

This fine specimen would be of the Lingenfelter Series 2 variety, sporting a full coilover suspension, Brembo Brakes, Forgeline wheels, and the chrome supercharger option.

Lingenfelter also told us all about their new line of LS based crate engines. Through their new crate engine program you can choose from seven different combos, ranging from a naturally aspirated 550 HP LS3, all the way to a supercharged LS7 pumping out 750 HP. (The Ridetech 48 Hour Camaro is powered by Lingenfelter’s 575 HP LS3 crate engine.) You can drop any one of these impressive mills into your ride, and rest assured that it’s backed by one of the best names in the business. Check out Lingenfelter’s website for more info on the Signature Series Camaros, and their new Crate Engine Program.

Check out the chrome supercharger peaking out from under the optional "window" hood.
