SEMA 2011: Hedman Performance Group’s LS Gear And More

The members of the Hedman Performance Group have attended every SEMA show since the very first one in ’67, when 98 performance pioneers set up their booths under the bleachers of the Dodger Stadium.

No matter if you're sporting a bow-tie or blue oval, Trans Dapt Performance Products' engine swap motor mount kits come complete with either the traditional rubber pads or their new, Polyurethane components. The choice is yours.

Fast forward 44 years, and although the location has changed, with many companies coming and going, Hedman has always remained constant. This year, Hedman Performance Group has got some exciting new products cooked up for this years SEMA show.

If you weren’t aware, Hedmen Performance Group includes Hedmen Hedders, Trans Dapt Performance Products, Hedman Husler Hedders, and Hamburger’s Performance Products; all under one roof!

We spoke with Mark Lewis who explained to us that Hamburger’s Performances’ newest creation, a two-piece timing cover for LS-series engines was their latest development for this ever-growing market.

Hamburger’s two-piece billet aluminum timing cover allows the user to swap cams with ease and eliminate ever having to drop the oil pan. It’s simple, just install the lower half once, then unbolt the top half whenever the you need quick access to the cam. A unique O-ring seals the the entire setup  for a leak-free operation.

What does this mean for you?

  • No need to drop the oil pan
  • O-ring seal between sections
  • CNC machined 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum construction
  • Includes stainless hardware
  • Red anodized finish
  • Made in the USA

Hedman Performance Group isn’t done there yet, either. Trans Dapt Performance Products also released their engine swap kits, which feature Polyurethane pads. The engine swap motor mounts now benefit from all new option; polyurethane pads instead of the traditional steel/rubber pads. Trans Dapt is offering these kits for small-, big-block, LS, small- and big-block Ford, and Mopar applications, too. Plus, these kits include all the necessary mounting hardware and installation instructions to make the swap a breeze.
