On Friday, June 14th, Grand-Am Racing hit the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio for the seventh race of the season, but while there were many manufacturers entered in the competition, the Corvette teams left little room for the success of other brands over the weekend.

One of the first shows that kicks off the season each year is the Michigan F-Body Meet and Greet, near Milford, Michigan. Hosted by the Michigan F-Body Association, it draws hundreds of Camaros and Firebirds and for the past several years, it has also drawn the attention of GM engineers. Check out the scoop here!

Over the weekend of April 25-27, 2013, the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky will host their official kickoff for this year’s on-site event season. One of the highlights of the weekend will be the opportunity to see both the coupe and convertible C7 Stingrays right there on the property.
Now that we’re in 2013, this marks the fourth year that Holley Performance has put on the LS Fest for enthusiasts like you and I. It’s an annual tradition that’s open to all LS-powered vehicles – whether they’re a GM-produced marque or not. It’s a weekend full of high-performance LS fun, not to be missed!
The 2013 NMRA and NMCA schedules have been released. There are six events for each series with a number of special events planned through the year.
The Petit LeMans at Road Atlanta turned into a battle of fuel economy, with the Compuware C6.R finishing second behind the leading Ferrari, thanks to a winning gamble on skipping the final fuel stop.

Corvette Racing was able to clinch the 2012 American Le Mans Series champship this past weekend with a flawless performance that put drivers Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner in first place. Chalk up another big win for Jake and the Corvette Racing crew.
Mid America Motorworks’ annual Corvette Funfest always features some amazing entertainment on Saturday night, and this year it’s going to be like your classic rock iTunes playlist on shuffle!

With the every growing popularity of transplanting these engines into muscle cars, drag cars, drift cars, trucks and more it is fitting that Holley celebrates the ingenuity of the builds.

The Z06 was fielded by MTI Racing, a team competing for the first time this year in the Ultimate Track Car Challenge. Amongst the grueling field of competitors, the Z06, driven by Reese Cox, was able to pull an astonishing 1:54.9 lap time around the 3.27 mile track.
Corvette Racing will start from fourth and sixth places on the 18-entry strong GTE Pro grid at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The team stood pat on times achieved Wednesday night, using the Thursday qualifying sessions to concentrate on preparing for the 24-hour endurance test.
The Grand Am GT series is well under way, and Camaros are representing well, taking the two top spots at this weekends race at Virginia International Raceway. This 1-2 finish puts the Camaros towards the front of the racing pack in overall points.

GM recently showed the world the for the first time the 2011 Camaro Daytona 500 Pace Car. But a pace car belongs on the track, not the auction block, and so now for the first time we get to see the Daytona 500 Pace Car in action around GM’s proving grounds.

In part, the changes result from Johnny O’Connell’s move to the Team Cadillac motorsports program in SCCA World Challenge competition, along with former teammate Andy Pilgrim.
