The Z06 was fielded by MTI Racing, a team competing for the first time this year in the Ultimate Track Car Challenge. Amongst the grueling field of competitors, the Z06, driven by Reese Cox, was able to pull an astonishing 1:54.9 lap time around the 3.27 mile track.

Corvette Racing will start from fourth and sixth places on the 18-entry strong GTE Pro grid at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The team stood pat on times achieved Wednesday night, using the Thursday qualifying sessions to concentrate on preparing for the 24-hour endurance test.

While Mike Skeen earned his first career Trans-Am Series pole position, Tony Ave wrapped up the 2010 series championship in qualifying yesterday at Road Atlanta. Starting from P2 on the grid earned Ave 6 points in the Championship, increasing his lead beyond reach of RJ Lopez, the series runner-up.
